Tournament Guidelines

Junior League

Eligibility

  • Participants must be under 13 years of age on the day of the tournament.
  • Open to all students who are currently enrolled in a school established in Korea, or who are of Korean nationality attending an international or foreign school.
  • Both Korean and international students are welcome.
  • Teams may consist of students from different schools.

Format

  • Various parliamentary debate formats will be used depending on the tournament.
  • British Parliamentary (BP): 2 members per team, with 15 minutes of preparation time.
  • Asian Parliamentary (AP): 3 members per team, with 30 minutes of preparation time.
  • World Schools Debate (WSDC): 3 to 5 members per team, with 1 hour of preparation time and 2 impromptu motions.
  • Additional rules and format-specific guidelines will be provided upon tournament confirmation.

General Rules

  • No use of the internet for research during prep time.
  • No communication with non-team members during preparation or debate rounds.
